My MacBook Experience

Recently I had the pleasure of getting a MacBook Pro. I chose the 13.3" model for the convenient size. Prior to this purchase, I swore I'd never own a Mac (Laptop or Desktop), now my tune has changed - let me share some reasons why.

  1. It is a workhorse. I have been able to do more with the MacBook Pro than I ever imagined, and it always seems like it has power to spare. It doesn't bog down or show hesitation, it justseamlessly proceeds with its assigned tasks. That might be partly due to the 2.53 dual core processor or the 4GB Ram, but nevertheless it is a workhouse.
  2. I'm not constantly shutting it down and restarting. I have only restarted my MacBook Pro about 3-4 times in a matter of 2-3 months. That is a pretty good average in comparison with my Windows based Desktop that has been restarted about 5 times this month alone.
  3. It is ready when I'm ready. When I'm not using the MacBook Pro I simply shut the lid of the notebook, no matter what I'm in the middle of. Then when I'm ready to resume work I just open the lid and everything is patiently waiting for me as soon as I open the lid. Even Windows 7 with its new quickstart can't compare to this speed.
  4. It looks good and can take a hit. The aluminum cover for the MacBook Pro looks sleek, clean and ultra sylish. However, that is not the best part. The best part is that this laptop can take some abuse. It doesn't readily show scratches or scuffs - which means that after 2-3 months it still looks new!

All things considered, I have been very surprised with my MacBook Pro. For those people considering an Apple product I would encourage you to fully evaluate your needs, and if the Apple product accomplishes all your goals, then you will be purchasing a product that you will be very happy with!
